In Memoriam: Glenna Harmeyer

IN MEMORIAM

Glenna J. Quinlan Harmeyer

 April 17, 1925 - October 20, 2015

Our dear friend Glenna Harmeyer, a member of First Presbyterian since April 5, 1992, joined the church triumphant on October 20, 2015. Our deepest sympathy is extended to her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and David McConnell and the rest of her family. The family is having a private memorial service.

Obituary:

Glenna J. Quinlan Harmeyer, 90, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015. She was born April 17, 1925 to the late Peter and Bertha Quinlan of Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. Harmeyer was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Harmeyer of Luckey, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldene Brown of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Sally Heber of Luckey, Ohio.

Glenna was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She was a long time and active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Martinsville, Va. She wrote many programs and held many bible studies as a member of the women of the church. She and her husband, Bob, were youth leaders for over 20 years as well as Sunday school teachers to young children. This was during her 40 years living in Luckey, Ohio before moving to Martinsville, Va.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann McConnell and son-in-law, Dr. David McConnell of Martinsville, Va.; brother, Mr. Peter W. Quinlan III of Curtis, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Jane Bialicki of Sylvania, Ohio.

Service will be private at First Presbyterian Church of Martinsville, VA.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1901 Patrick Henry Avenue, Martinsville, VA 24112.
