Stated Session Meeting Highlights

Mark Hinchclifff opened the meeting with prayer and Denny Casey led the group in devotions.

Treasurer reported that contributions are coming in around 86%.

Mark Hinchcliff reported the following:

• Communion services held October 2 and extended table October 3
• Hospital and home visits
• Disciples Bible Study Class at King’s Grant
• Confirmation Class
• Planning Las Posadas with uptown merchants and other churches to be held December 2.
• November 7, 2016 Pre Election Prayer Service at 5:00 pm at Broad Street Christian Church.
• November 11, 2016 Veterans Day Service at 7:00 PM at EMI in Bassett (formally Bassett High School) sponsored by the Ministerial Association. Mark Hinchcliff will be giving the invocation.
• November 20, 2016 4:00 PM Pre-Thanksgiving Service at Broad Street Christian Church sponsored by the Ministerial Association

Fellowship committee is coordinating plans with the Smith River Singers for a reception to follow the December 12 concert.

The next stated session meeting will be November 28.
