Adult Music
There are at least three opportunities at First Presbyterian for members to express their faith through music and use their talents to serve and praise God. By far the largest and first choir is the Congregational Choir. Hymn singing is a vital part of each worship service. The Pastors, Music Directors and Organist meet monthly to plan the hymn singing. The hymns, as well as the choral music, seek to reflect the theme of each service.
The Sanctuary Ringers is our Adult Handbell Choir. We have a complete five octave set of Malmark Handbells and a complete five octave set of Malmark Choir Chimes. This choir of a dozen ringers usually plays the Prelude and Offertory on a monthly basis during their September through May season. Members of this choir assist the Chancel Choir, as needed, with anthem accompaniments. In times past this choir has participated in area-wide workshops and handbell festivals. If you have the interest, time and talent, I would appreciate the opportunity to meet you and talk with you further about the Adult Music Opportunities for you at First Presbyterian.
