Children's Worship
During worship each week, 3-year-old through first grade children participate in children's worship. The children sit with their parents until after the children's sermon is finished. Then they go with an adult leader and a youth leader to the Children's Worship Room (#116 on the library hall). Children are picked up there following worship.
1. To worship God. 2. To provide a worshipful environment, which is quiet, reverent, and introspective. 3. To prepare children for adult worship services by using a more interactive format and by incorporating parts of the order of worship, such as: praise (music), prayer, Scripture, stories (the proclamation of the Word), wonder questions, response time (craft), feast (on Communion Sundays), and a Benediction.
If you are either a youth or adult who is interested in volunteering with children's worship, please contact Debora Brown, Children's Worship Co-ordinator, at 638-2094.
