Lenten Fellowship Supper

During Lent, our congregation has a weekly worship service to focus our attention upon God during this holy season.  We first gather together in the Church's Fellowship Hall at 5:45 pm for a catered meal. Donations are accepted to defray the cost of the meal. 

Then at 6:20, one of our area ministers will led us in a worship service.  The service, which concludes by 7:00, includes a brief meditation, prayers, and hymn singing. 

Anyone from the community is welcome to join us for the meal and/or the worship service: we would love to see you at one of our Lenten Meals & Worship Services!

Lent is a period of prayer and reflection that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Sunday. Lent is a holy season of preparation for the church. During Lent, we follow Jesus on the road towards Jerusalem and his death on the cross for our sake. Lent recognizes that life is full of temptations and that we too often succumb to sin and distance ourselves from God’s will. In Lent, God calls us to a time of simplicity where we focus our attention on God’s voice. Jesus himself spent forty days in the wilderness fasting and praying so that he could more clearly discern God’s direction for his life.
