Sunday School

Our congregation offers Sunday School each week for adults from 9:45-10:40 a.m.  Beginning on Rally Day (September 13) the children and youth classes will resume meeting.  Please join us for opportunities for prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and growth as disciples of Christ.

Our Children's and Youth S. S. Classes will not meet during the summer months.  They will reconvene in the fall on Rally Day, September 13!  Please stay tuned.

Infants & Toddlers: Nursery
Pre-K and K: ELI Classroom
1st-5th Grade: Ford Classroom
Middle-High School: High School Room

The Adult Summer Sunday School Class has begun a new study that will continue through August entitled Breaking the Code: Understanding the Book of Revelation by Dr. Bruce M. Metzger.  Please join us Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:40 a.m., in the Session Room.  Sunday school classes for children and youth will resume on Rally Day, September 13.

This class meets in the Margaret Irby Classroom.  This is a discussion based class.  Adults of all ages participate (including some with young children), although it is primarily middle age and older adults who attend.  In the fall of 2008, the class studied Judaism, a book and video series based on James Moore's book Yes Lord, I Have Sinned, But I Have Several Excellent Excuses, and a book and video series based on Phillip Yancey's book Prayer.

Recently the class studied Thomas Long's book Testimony: Talking Ourselves into Being Christian and several religions of the world, including Mormonism and Buddhism.  The class will decide before the September 13 start date as to what they will study in the fall 2009.  They are always looking for new class members and invite you to join them.

The Ford/Reed Class meets in the parlor.  This class is a Bible-based study and uses The Present Word Uniform Lesson Series with mostly older adults, although adults of any age are welcome.  The Fall Quarter (September-November) is entitled "Covenant Communities" .

This is the Franck Class.  They meet in the Middle School classroom. They meet at 9:45 a.m. with "kickoff" no later than 10:00 a.m.  This class finished discussing the book "The Shack," by William Paul Young and will begin a new study of "The UNchristian" about what a new generation really thinks about Christianity and why it matters.  They will reconvene on September 13 in the Franck Sunday School Class on the ground level
