Angel Tree Gifts Given By Church Members in 2008

Christ calls us to serve!  Accordingly, our church family tries to give back to our community both within and beyond the walls of our church.  Members of First Presbyterian Church in Martinsville are actively involved in volunteering in our community. Some of the ministries, further described herein under "Serving Others," include: ELI (Early Learning Intervention) Program, The Grace Network, WHO (We Help Others), Boy Scout Troop #61, and Special Offerings.

Each year in October, our church holds an Annual Mission Fair Luncheon.  Several charitable organizations from our community are invited to come and speak to how their group meets the needs of our community.  In 2008, representatives from the Mental Health Association, Grace Network, American Red Cross, Free Dental Clinic, and Hospice of Memorial Hospital spoke to our congregation.
